Iron Man director Jon Favreau was recently a guest of Jimmy Kimmel live, and during the show he shared a never-before-seen alternate post-credits scene from the film. It’s pretty cool that after all these years we get to see something like this, and it’s funny!

The post-credits scene in the 2008 film probably isn’t the most iconic moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it made the MCU! It presented Samuel L.Jackson stepping out of the shadows of Tony Stark’s apartment to introduce himself as Nick Fury, teasing his plans for the Avengers Initiative.
This new take on that scene offers an alternate take. It’s the same scene, but the dialogue is a little different because Jackson incorporates his own style into the scene. It is much better!
Favreau detailed the scene, saying, “The way it works is Iron Man eventually walks into his living room after the credits and is surprised by the presence of Nick Fury who invites him to join the Avengers Initiative. That guy of kicks from the whole sequence that happens”.
Favreau confirmed, “I knew it wasn’t going to be in the movie.” When Kimmell says they had the new footage, Favreau was surprised, asking, “Where did you find that?” Then he added: “That’s true, by the way. It’s not a joke. We just filmed it for fun.”
