‘Super Mario Bros.: The Movie’ brings forward the release date in Spain

Great news for Super Mario fans: the animated film adaptation of one of the most popular video games in history brings its release date forward. Universal images Just confirmed through their social networks “Super Mario Bros.: The Movie” will be released on April 5th instead of April 7th, the last date announced so far. The film will then be available from the beginning of Easter. We recall that, as confirmed a few days ago, the adaptation of Nintendo’s stellar video game lasts 1 hour and 32 minutes and will release its final trailer on March 9 at 11pm PST in the upcoming Nintendo Direct.

Directed by Aaron Horvath (“Teen Titans Go! The Movie”) and Michael Jelenic (“Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders”) and with a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (“Minions: Rise of Gru”), in the original version of ‘Super Mario Bros.: In the film we hear the voices of Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Seth Rogen as by Donkey Kong.

Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment, the studio behind “Gru, Despicable Me” and “The Minions”, are working together to release the first animated film about the famous plumber. Mario will face his mythical archenemy Bowser, who travels through different worlds catching stars. Our hero is accompanied by his brother Luigi, Princess Peach and the faithful Toad. We will also see Donkey Kong, Cranky Kong, Kamek and Spike.
