Ash Ketchum was a major staple in the Pokémon franchise for the past 25 years, but his time on the popular anime series is coming to an end. It’s pretty crazy that they’re removing him and his loyal Pikachu from the show. The Pokémon anime will continue, but with two fresh new faces, Liko and Roy.
It was revealed: “Ash and Pikachu had many encounters, many battles and many exciting and memorable moments. Each adventure is another step on the long journey to becoming a Pokémon Master, a dream that never ends.”
The final 11 episodes of Ash and Pikachu are coming soon and now we have a synopsis to share with you that teases what we can expect from the final episode. The following was shared by CB and reveals that Ash will be reunited with his oldest opponent, Gary Oak, who we first met in Indigo League. The synopsis reads:
When Ash and Pikachu return to Pallet Town, they are reunited with Gary who asks Ash the question: How close are you to becoming the Pokemon Master now that you’ve become the Champion? Becoming a Pokemon Master has been Ash’s dream ever since he set off on his journey with Pikachu. Will Ash find the answer to this question?
For those of you who don’t remember, Gary was the character who drove around in a red convertible with a bunch of weird cheerleaders. Though Gary and Ash didn’t get along at first, they would eventually become friends.
