Pot of Greed is one of the most infamous cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. It’s a really good card that was on early prohibited and restricted lists and continues to be on those lists. It’s also a huge meme because of the anime where they have to explain each card every time it’s played. The card inspired many other cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! including 10 additional “Pot” cards with some of those becoming staples at least for a time such as Pot of Avarice and Pot of Desires. To celebrate the legacy of these cards and Yu-Gi-Oh!On the occasion of Konami’s 25th anniversary, Konami launches The Pot Collection.

You can visit the appropriate website depending on where you live (Europe, Latin America, North America) and pre-order The Pot Collection for $159.99. What you will receive are 11 PVC and ABS “Pot” figures (one of each of the “Pot” cards) with bases, 3 additional figures without bases of cards associated with Pot of Greed, a special Ultra Rare version of each card featured as a figure (for a total of 14 Ultra Rare cards) and a Secret Quarter Century Pot of Greed. The 14 Ultra Rares are also special in that they will use a special parallel sheet that will make them similar to, but different from, Starlight Rares. They are also produced in Japan using the same techniques as the upcoming Japanese cards. We don’t take a good look at the cards, but the previews shown are very nice.

All this for just $159.99? Sounds crazy! Yu-Gi-Oh! it sure looks like they’re doing things right by celebrating their 25th anniversary. Are you more excited about the face cards or the cards?
