Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for its original film Tetris. It was inspired by the true story behind the video game sensation, and who would have thought it would be so exciting!? Taron Egerton (Rocket man) plays American video game salesman Henk Rogers, who risked his life to outwit the KGB and introduce him Tetris in the world.

The synopsis reads: “Based on the true story of American video game salesman Henk Rogers (Egerton) and his discovery of Tetris in 1988. When he sets out to bring the game to the world, he enters a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the curtain of iron”.
I don’t know anything about the story behind it Tetris, but after seeing this trailer, I think I’m going to do a deep dive and do some research because it sounds like it’s been a pretty crazy experience for the people involved! The film’s tagline reads: “The game you can’t stop, the story you can’t invent.”
Tetris is directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Rose. It was produced by Iain MacKenzie, Matthew Vaughn, Gillian Berrie, Claudia Vaughn, Len Blavatnik and Gregor Cameron.
Tetris will be released next month on March 31 on Apple TV+.
