Rumors about who will be Daniel Craig’s successor as James Bond do not stop. At this point there are many names that we have heard as possible candidates: Idris Elba, Tom Holland, Henry Cavill, Sam Heughan… But most of them have been discarded for not meeting the requirements set by the manufacturer. Who meets them, and has been dubbed a “favorite” for some time, is Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The winner of a Golden Globe in 2017 for his role in “Nocturnal Animals” is making itself known in Hollywood for his recent performance in ‘Bullet Train’ and his upcoming addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as ‘Kraven the Hunter’. But that’s not the only project the actor could take on in a short period of time.
Taylor-Johnson could be the next 007, given that, if we recall, in September he would have auditioned for the character, from which he would emerge as “A Favorite” of the producers, including Barbara Broccoli, one of the most influential people in the franchise. Furthermore, according to confirmed sources, the actor would later meet with Broccoli in a meeting that has been described as successful.
But so far neither the producer nor the actor has confirmed anything. Recently, in fact, in an interview for Vanity Fair Talyor-Johnson assured about the rumors of him on his role as a possible future James Bond that: “It’s flattering. It can be a really good thing [que escriban sobre ti], but it can also be something negative that can circulate. You, all you want is stay in your lane, keep your feet on the ground and surround yourself with the people who love you and you love, and stay in that world. Why When you start believing the crap people say about you, you’ve lost your mind.. you will have lost it”. The actor seems forceful with his words, implying that until the producer makes a statement about it, he’d rather not think about the subject.
The other two big favourites
Following the Taylor-Johnson line, the other two candidates who would make up the trio of favourites, Regé-Jean Page and Henry Cavillthey also talked about the rumors about his candidacy.
On the one hand, Page assured in VF that: “These are conversations that people are having, and it’s tremendously flattering that they are. I let them.”and when the magazine asked him if he would accept the role, the answer was that: “I have no idea. It is not something that completely occupies my thoughts. I have enough on my plate right now. I worry about the job I have, not that of others”..
On the other hand, Cavill said in another interview that: “It’s extremely flattering to read these articles that keep popping up about Bond and who’s the favorite. I enjoy it, of course. But it’s about how much time I have, and those roles have to be respected and you have to work hard on them. You can’t just go from iconic role to iconic role without having time to organize it.”.
