After the controversy with the sackings of Henry Cavill in DC Comics as Superman and on Netflix with ‘The Wicher’, the British actor is already preparing for what will be his next spy film, based on a true story. Director Guy Ritchie has already begun recording what will be the next chapter of his career.

According to information from Deadline, Henry Cavill started recordings for ‘The War Office Ungentlemanly’, the new film from director Guy Ritchie, author of ‘The Gentleman’ and the recent ‘Relentless Justice’ with Jason Statham. The earthquake in Turkey was initially believed to have delayed production, but the director confirmed otherwise.

Through a statement, Guy Ritchie says the recordings of ‘The War Office Ungentlemanly’ they’ve started: “When we start production in Turkey, we do it with deep sympathy for all those affected. Our thoughts are with our team members, with family members in the region. We wish to express our sincere condolences to the Turkish people. We stand by them and are committed to supporting our production team members and the wider community in the weeks and months ahead.”

‘The War Office Ungentlemanly’ will star Henry Cavill and Eiza Gonzalez, and will be produced under the Lionsgate label. Meanwhile, the director continues work on “The Covenant,” which has been in post-production for several months, and stars Jake Gyllenhaal.

“The Unkind War Ministry” with Henry Cavill

The story that will feature the former star of ‘The Witcher’ on Netflix, is based on the book by Damien Lewis, simply titled ‘Ministry’. ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ is based on a true story of a secret group created by Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming, the real creator of James Bond, who had the goal of defeating the Nazis.

This special agent unit was highly skilled at taking out high-value targets, however their methods were not the most conventional. And they were famous for using violent techniques, which was the antecedent for which they currently give their name to the undercover operation unit, better known as Black Ops.

At present, ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ does not have a release date, but Lionsgate is slated to release it in 2024. And in the coming months, what will be Henry Cavill’s new film will be released, with the hope that it will become a successful film franchise.
