Before Rihanna took center stage during the Super Bowl hiatus, Marvel took over the screens by releasing a new trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. This second advance of James Gunn’s last work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before leaving for the DC Universe has allowed us to take a fresh look at what the future awaits us. May 5th with the end of the trilogy.
The new images reveal a little more information about one of the villains that the Guardians will face in this film: the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji). The confrontation with him will be especially tough for Rocket (Bradley Cooper), since he was the one who tortured him and was responsible for transforming him. Another great villain who had a greater presence in this preview, but of which we already knew a little more, will be Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), the new character of the MCU, and the evolution of the sovereign species, which under the command of its leader Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) will try to kill Star-Lord and his friends.
In addition, we were also able to see a little more the love situation in which Quill and Gamora 2.0 (Zoe Saldaña) find themselves, which being from another reality different from the main one, Ha is unaware of the other Gamora’s relationship with Quill and the rest of the team.. Although she has always been a tough and combative girl, in this last volume we will see how Quill will have to (again) break her barriers and try to make her fall in love again.
An advance based on viewing the importance of bonding and family that have come to form all together and the need to all be together, even if it is for the last time, implying that they may not come back in case you fail to defeat the bad guys this time.

We already knew that the raccoon was going to have a bigger role in the latter film, in the first trailer and with the reveal of the synopsis we were told that Rocket would make us suffer. For the hope of many, with what we have seen now we can think that it is because we will finally see the story of him and know the reasons that led him to be like this. We hope this guaranteed suffering comes from the painful life our beloved raccoon had to live and not from a tragic ending that breaks our hearts.
