BATGIRL star Leslie Grace responds by saying the film was ‘unattainable’ and says the film she got to see was ‘amazing’

Remember that time DC Studios is co-CEO Peter Safran she said shelved it Bad girl was the project “hardcore” and that it “would hurt DC”? Well, the Batgirl star Leslie Grace he also saw a cut of the film and responded to those claims. It turns out that the version of the film she saw was “amazing!”

Safran also said that he believed “Zaslav and the team made a very bold and courageous decision to cancel it because it would have hurt DC. It would have hurt the people involved.” This is an opinion that Grace disagrees with! During a recent interview with Variety, she shared:

“That’s the only thing I asked. I got to see the movie all the way through; the movie wasn’t complete when it was tested. There were a bunch of scenes that weren’t even there. They were at the beginning of the editing process and they were interrupted because of everything that was going on at the company. But the film that I saw – the scenes that were in it – were amazing. There was definitely potential for a good film, in my opinion. we’ll see some clips later.

Grace goes on to confirm that she hasn’t spoken to Safran or James Gunn, but has had a few conversations with Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca about potentially returning as Barbara Gordon in the future. But we’ll just have to wait and see how she plays out. She said:

“We’ve definitely had conversations about Batgirl’s future and how Batgirl can be reborn. this point. I can’t talk too much about a future for Batgirl or guarantee anything. The last thing I want to do is give people any kind of inkling of something I don’t have much control over — as we’ve learned.”

It sucks what happened with this movie. Everything that has come out about it makes it sound like it could have been a movie that fans could enjoy! Grace previously teased some “cool action scenes” in the film involving Batgirl’s fights Brendan Fraserit’s firefly. Fraser also spoke about how the film shouldn’t be judged during its first unfinished test screening.
