The world almost collapsed last September 2022 when Hugh Jackman has announced his return as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’, the new chapter in the saga of the mercenary with a mouth starring his good friend (or loyal enemy) Ryan Reynolds, now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jackman returns to play the adamantium-clawed mutant once again, having bid him farewell in 2017 with the acclaimed ‘Logan,’ which should have been his last time playing him.

Following the announcement, Jackman has set to work regaining Wolverine’s fitness ahead of filming on “Deadpool 3,” which begins in May 2023 (via Variety). And to achieve his goal, the Australian actor has decided to throw himself 100%, completely canceling his schedule for six months to focus solely on training.
Jackman started the year with his mind completely determined to be Wolverine again and a month and a half later, he shared with his followers on social networks a photo of his progress, showing off his biceps as he lifts weights with his trainer, Beth Lewis. Accompanying the image, Jackman jokes about the age difference between him and his character: “He’s only 46. I’m older. But it’s not a competition”.

And be careful, the interpreter of ‘X-Men’ is keen to make it clear He never turned to steroids to become Wolverine, and he never will.. In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Jackman said he’d be training to get Wolverine into shape the old-fashioned way. That is, killing yourself in the gym, as seen in the photo.
What we know about “Deadpool 3”
Five years after the second installment, Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson in ‘Deadpool 3’ which he returns to produce and co-write. The film will be directed by Shawn Levy, producer of “Stranger Things” and regular collaborator of the actor, who directed in “Free Guy” and “Project Adam”. In addition to Jackman, the film once again stars Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, although there are no confirmed cast members yet. The script is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with the participation of Reynolds, who is still very involved creatively with the character, and although there are no plot details, the plot is known to take place before the events of ‘Logan’ where we saw Wolverine die.
