‘The Flash’: ‘Worlds collide’ in the first poster, which comes with a nod to Batman

Paradoxically, “The Flash” is taking longer than expected, but it finally picks up a rush to reach its theatrical release next June and, after several setbacks (and those that will probably remain), the promotion of the new chapter of the DC Universe kicks off.

Sunday 12 February here comes the first trailer of the film Scarlet Sprinter solo with Ezra Miller (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”) and directed by Andy Muschietti (“It”). And to open your mouth for the big night, Warner Bros. has released an early poster with a nod to Batman and the DC Multiverse.

‘The Flash’: ‘Worlds collide’ in the first poster, which comes with a nod to Batman

In the poster we see Barry Allen/The Flash, with his back turned to the horizon, under the sign of Batman, in what is speculated to be the Batcave of Man in his 1989 version. Although there have been many rumors about the possible appearance of Batman in “The Flash”, intensified by the restructuring at DC that left several projects behind, the poster would be the definitive confirmation that, in fact, we will see the Dark Knight in the film.

If the expected comes true, together with Miller in ‘The Flash’ we will have Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck reprise their respective versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman. And the slogan of the first poster points to this encounter that would lead us to explore the DC Multiverse: “Worlds Collide”.

Inflection point

Despite the strong controversies that have accompanied Ezra Miller in the last year, Warner Bros. and DC Studios seem committed to the film and the rehabilitation of its protagonist. We don’t know what will happen to the character once James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe kicks off in 2025 with ‘Superman: Legacy’, but Gunn has dropped it. ‘The Flash’ will be the turning point that will reset the course of the saga.

In addition to Miller and Batman, ‘The Flash’ also stars Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, our own Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen. The film will hit theaters in June..
