As we have seen in the first three seasons of ‘You’, in the series there are some sex scenes between Badgley’s character and the woman he falls in love with at all times. The actor revealed that he wasn’t too amused by the number of intimate scenes he recorded, to the point that, according to his podcast Podcrushed, asked Sera Gamble, creator of ‘You’, if in the fourth season there could be no sex scenes of her character: “I asked Sera Gamble if I couldn’t do more intimate scenes”. As he explains it, it’s a topic that he’s had on his mind for a long time, but had never shared it publicly.

Badgley admits that he knew from the beginning that he should shoot these kinds of scenes in “You”, but still wanted to ask if he could at least reduce the number of intimate shots: “Fidelity in all relationships, including my marriage, is important to me. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to do that. So I told Sera, ‘my wish would be zero, go from 100 to zero’. But I signed this contract. I signed up for this series. I know what I did. You can’t take away that aspect of the show’s DNA. So I asked them how many less scenes they could do. To Badgley’s happiness, the creator of “You” fulfilled his request: “She didn’t even bat an eye. She was so glad you were so honest. It got a really positive response. They are back with a phenomenal (scene) reduction.
