Andy Serkis is producing an epic South Korean monster film THE MONSTER TALE

If you like monster movies, a big monster madness is coming in a new film project from South Korea’s Climax Studio. They are collaborating with the talented duo of Andy Serkis AND Jonathan Cavendish’s Imaginarium Productions to bring you Tale of Monsters.

Written and directed by Jason Kim, this epic adventure will bring together East Asia’s most famous monsters as they team up to fight off a monstrous invasion. It is explained that a “warring group of three notorious East Asian monsters, an unlikely team of enemies who must band together to defeat an ominous invasion by a monster from across the seas in Europe.”

Serkis and Cavendish are joining forces with Climax’s Byun Seung-Min as executive producers, promising to deliver a thrilling monster cinematic experience sure to lead to an epic monster showdown.

Kim, who worked on the upcoming Netflix original series Bloodhounds, is also known for his success at the Korean box office Midnight runners. Lui said in a statement, “I want to provide global audiences with a new kind of entertainment through the fantasy action of monsters from east and west.”

Cavendish said: “Bringing brilliant, flawed and complex characters to the screen is at the heart of what we do at the Imaginarium and we look forward to working with Climax Studio and their talented team to develop this insane roller coaster ride of a story — it will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Climax Studio founder Byun Seung-Min added, “I am looking forward to working together with The Imaginarium on the global co-production of The Monster Tale. I think this is going to be one of the coolest projects we’ve ever worked on.”
