After the success that ‘M3GAN’ is having all over the world, the sequel, ‘M3GAN 2.0’, it was inevitable and, after being much rumored for days, it’s now official and even has a release date. Universal Pictures has already announced that the expected date to see the second part of the film Blumhouse and Atomic Monster in theaters will be January 17, 2025.

After several weeks on the account, ‘M3GAN’ has picked up $96 million worldwide. Upon its US release, the horror film exceeded expectations, grossing $30.4 million and had a strong second weekend with a moderate drop of 40% (which has more merit even knowing that its direct competitor is ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’). In North America alone, it has already amassed $61.6 million to date. According to Deadline, with a budget of 12 million invested in the film, its producers have already achieved a big plusfollowing the profitable production model of Jason Blum’s company.
Who will be in the sequel?
It is known that the production company of the first film, Divide/Conquer, will also produce the second. The scripthe will also write it Aleka Cooper, screenwriter of the first. And in the cast we will see Gemma again, played by Allison Williams, in the role of the engineer and creator of M3gan, and her niece Cady, who will continue to be Violet McGraw.
Williams, who in addition to being an actress and an executive producer, will also produce the film together with Jason Blum (CEO of Blumhouse) and James Wan, writer and creator of the story on which the film is based.
