This year ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ is released, a horror film in which we will have a sinister version of Pooh and Piglet, his faithful companion in adventures, never seen before. To celebrate the birth anniversary of Alan Alexander Milne, creator of these characters, the distributor Vértice 360 ​​​​​​has just confirmed that ‘Blood and Honey’ will be released in Spain this year. No exact release date has been announced at this time, but it will hit the US on February 15th.

The thirst for blood and revenge invades them, they will not hesitate for a second to kill anyone who crosses their path.

In January 2022, Disney lost the rights to the character’s original work and it entered the public domain. It is at this time that the production of “Blood and Honey” begins and with it a new version of this world of fantasy and happiness, now dark, hostile and hostile with a Pooh and a little pig, two bloodthirsty psychopaths, very far from the original product and its various adaptations. Although the rights to the work are public, the director and screenwriter of the slasher, Rhys Frake-Waterfield (‘Firenado’, ‘Rise of the Loch Ness’), has decided not to wear the characteristic Pooh shirt, but will wear denim overalls over a long red shirt.

The chosen ones

The actors who are under the mask of Pooh and Piglet are Craig David Dowsett (‘The Area 51 Incident’, ‘The House That Zombies Built’) and Chris Cordell (‘The Curse of Humpty Dumpty’, ‘HP Lovecraft’s Monster Portal’) respectively. Both worked before ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ with the director and screenwriterbut this is the first time they do it in the same project.
