On March 10, “Scream VI” is released, the sixth film of the franchise in which the survivors of the previous installment leave Woodsboro and head to the Big Apple, New York. From the hand of American media Entertainment Weekly we have new images of the project in which we see old and new faces of the saga. Also, Paramount Pictures only Confirm that A new trailer for “Scream VI” will be released on Thursday, January 19.

In this first image we see Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, actresses and actor who they were part of the fifth film in the series. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Barrera explained the challenge New York brings to the characters: “These kids run away and Ghostface still finds them in the most beautiful city, but also in the most terrifying city because it’s very populated and it can be aggressive.” Since we are talking about Ghostface, a new image of the serial killer could not be missing:


Similarly to Barrera, Courteney Cox, who reprises her role as reporter Gale WeathersHe also talked about what moving to New York means for the saga: “Bringing Ghostface to New York adds a whole new element to the story. Taking the character out of a small town and into the heart of the city that never sleeps is scarier than ever.”


“Scream VI” will have new characters played by Tony Revolori, Samara Weaving and Dermot Mulroney. In addition to the names already indicated, the cast is completed by Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Hayden Panettiere, an actress who returns to the franchise after a short break.
The return of Baker
‘Scream VI’ marks the return of Hayden Panettiere, who played on ‘Scream 4’ at Kirby Reed, a character who was last seen writhing in a pool of his own blood after being stabbed by Charlie Walker. In the interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress elaborated on her character: “She’s come a long way. What happened to her obviously changed her life and sent her in a certain direction, but she’s still the same old Kirby. He’s just a little older, a little smarter, but just as rebellious and sarcastic and all that good stuff.”

Panettiere also explained that it was strange having previously participated in the saga, but at the same time feeling new not being part of the fifth chapter or the group that forms in it: “Yeah, I felt a little left out. I felt like I had to find my way into the new group because it was formed in the previous film. But they were all very welcoming. It was interesting, they made me part of their family, which I was part of before. So it was like an estranged aunt was back in action.”
