Despite the fact that we still have a lot of waiting time before the premiere of “Avatar 3”, James Cameron continues with his tongue loose. The director, who is conquering theaters with ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’, has already given us several details on the plot of our next adventure on Pandora, such as that we will meet a new tribe of Na’vi devoted to fire and that he will have ambitions that swing more towards the dark side.

‘Avatar 3’ will not be narrated by Jake Sully, and he won’t be the only one

The director has unveiled a new element that will differentiate the upcoming sequel from the previous two films. Up until now, our immersion in the ‘Avatar’ universe had been led by Jake Sully, Sam Worthington’s character. The former human was the narrator of the first two films in the series, but will not repeat himself in “Avatar 3”. In his place will be Lo’ak, his son, who will act as narrator in the third installment.. Britain Dalton’s character had one of the most notable dramatic arcs in ‘The Sense of Water’, and with this promotion it indicates that his weight in the story will continue to grow.

Cameron also communicated that each upcoming film will have a different narrator: “Jake was our voiceover in films one and two, and we will have a different narrator in each of the following films. We’ll see them through the eyes of a different character and the third one will be through Jake’s eyes.” he says in a shared interview Chirping.

Five weeks at number 1

‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ remained at number 1 in the North American box office for five weeks in a row, with $570 million raised in total in the US and nearly $1.9 billion at the worldwide box office. It’s getting closer and closer to “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which remains the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time (without adjusting for ticket price inflation) at $1.91 billion. It’s a matter of time.

‘Avatar 3’ will be released in theaters December 20, 2024.
