The highly anticipated film adaptation of Borderlands it’s confirmed that he’s going through some reshoots. As you know, that’s really not unusual for a big-budget tentpole movie like this. The film will undergo two weeks of reshoots, but the interesting thing about this shoot is that it will not be directed by Eli Rot. Deadpool director Tim Miller will replace Roth and helm those reshoots.

Deadline explains that the reason for this is that Roth reportedly couldn’t fit the time into his schedule, because he’s shooting a horror movie called Thanksgivingwhich is based on its mock trailer in Quentin Tarantino And Roberto Rodríguez’S grindhouse movie. So, Roth hasn’t been fired, he just has other things to do like his Thanksgiving horror movie, which should be interesting.
The Borderlands story follows Lilith, a notorious outlaw with a mysterious past. She reluctantly returns to her homeworld of Pandora and forms an unexpected alliance to find Atlas’ missing daughter. The film is the protagonist Cate Blanchett like Lilit, Jamie Lee Curtis like Tannis, Kevin Hart like Roland, Black Jackthe character of Clatrap, Ariana Greenblatt such as Tiny Tina, e Florian Munteanu like Krieg. Here is the synopsis released for the film:
Lilith (Blanchett), a notorious outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet Pandora to find the missing daughter of the most powerful son in the universe, Atlas (Ramirez). Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team: Roland (Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a savage pre-teen wrecker; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s brawny and rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Black), a persistently wise robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe may rest in their hands, but they will fight for something more: for each other.”
Avi And Ari Arad are producing through Arad Prods, and the film is written by Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin. Borderlands will hit theaters in 2023. Check out our reaction video for the footage we saw of the film here.
