Sony Pictures has released a preview of the promotional video for the director Neil Blomkampit’s coming Gran Turismo movie! I’ve been very curious about this movie because I’m a huge fan of the game, but this movie isn’t really going to be an adaptation of the game.

Instead, the film will tell the true story of Jann Mardenborough. The film is described as “the ultimate wish-fulfillment story of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won him a series of Nissan competitions to become a true professional race car driver.”

Jann was able to translate her impressively Gran Turismo real-life gaming skills through a series of Nissan competitions, leading him to become a professional race car driver.

The film features a large ensemble cast including Orlando Bloom and David Portwho will star in the film together with Archie Madekwe. In the video, Harbor says there will be “badass racing action where you’ll feel like you’re right in the middle.” Everyone is hyping the movie and it looks like it’s going to be a great movie! I have high hopes with Blomkamp at the helm!

The cast also includes Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!), Geri Halliwell-Horner (You are underground), Daniel Puig(Naomi), Maeve Courtier-Lilley (The Outpost), Emily Hartford (A Hollywood Christmas), Barroso pepper (Deep sea), and Sang Heon Lee (XO, kitty).

Blomkamp is directing from a script by Jason Hall and Zach Baylinwith PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing together Douglas Belgrade and Dana Brunetti.

Game creator Kazunori Yamauchi and Hall are executive producers on the film, which Sony Pictures will release in theaters on August 11, 2023.
