


Tammy SlatonTLC’s health deteriorated during a preview of the upcoming fourth season of the hit TLC series, 1000 pounds sistersobtained by PEOPLE. The trailer began with Tammy, 36, announcing that she plans to go to rehab. The next clip showed an ambulance parked outside a hospital with its lights on and sirens blaring. “Tammy has stopped breathing,” said the voice of a concerned relative to her sister. Amy SlatonShe added, “His body shut down.”
The trailer then showed an emotional Tammy after she had a tracheostomy to help her breathe. “I’m still here, bitch!” she smiled. Amy announced in a since-deleted TikTok that her windpipe was from carbon dioxide poisoning, not her weight, according to soap scum.

The trailer then followed Tammy’s continued struggle with her weight, at one point even showing her rejection Dr Eric Smith after she tells him she would like to be approved for bariatric surgery. “I told you Tammy, you take real risks,” she replied. Speaking of concern, your annoyance, Chriswho was there for the appointment, added: “If you don’t have the operation, you will die from your weight.”
The trailer concluded with footage of Tammy being loaded into an ambulance when her oxygen failed. A voiceover from an emotional Amy expressed her concern that Tammy would “end up dead.”
In addition to tracking her terrifying health situations, the trailer also showed a glimpse of Tammy falling in love in rehab. Her family hasn’t been shy about expressing their disapproval, and Amy says she’s worried her sister will “go back to her old ways” if she gets involved in another “bad” relationship. However, another family member questioned the rush of the relationship. “I have many worries. Why rush into something? she asked.

Meanwhile, the trailer once again followed Amy’s journey into motherhood as she was expecting her second child with her husband, michael halterman. Although she underwent weight loss surgery in 2019 and she successfully lost over 125 pounds, her health was still of concern as she was pregnant with her second child. “The doctor is concerned about this child because I’m still morbidly obese,” she told the camera. She was also filmed in the hospital as she told the TLC crew that “things got worse.”
