“The only discussion I know of about a sequel solo coming straight from the fans,” Howard said diplomatically. “As I understand it, I don’t think it’s a Lucasfilm priority.”
Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy told Vanity Fair that she kept learning solo that the only thing you can’t do in the Star Wars universe is remake a main character.
“There should be moments along the way where you learn things,” Kennedy said. “Now it seems so obvious that we can’t.”
Kennedy acquired Lucasfilm in 2012 with the goal of injecting new energy into the film war of stars Franchise. solo was one such effort with Alden Ehrenreich in the iconic role of Han Solo, developed by Harrison Ford. It didn’t work.
However, Howard has some hope.
