Marvel has announced that a documentary titled Stan Lee will be released next year to celebrate the late comics legend’s 100th birthday. A nice 25 second video has been tweeted to prepare fans for what will be a nice document about Lee, his life and his impact on the world of comics.
Marvel captioned the video “100 Year Dream. 100 years of creation. 100 Years of Stan Lee”, and added: “Stan Leean original documentary, is streaming in 2023 on @DisneyPlus.

Working alongside fellow writer-artists like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditto, Lee is best known for creating such beloved characters as Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, the Avengers and more. Even after retiring from Marvel in the 1990s, Lee continued to remain involved with the company through cameo appearances and executive producer credits on Marvel productions.
Lee’s centennial celebration launched earlier this month through Genius Brands International, which released a new online store featuring three exclusive Lee-branded collections. The entertainment company owns the rights to Lee’s name, voice, likeness, signature and licensing intellectual property and is signed on as a co-executive producer of the Stan Lee documentary.
Lee’s official Twitter account, used by POW! Entertainment, published:
“100 years ago, Stan was born in New York. Over the last century, his work has changed the landscape of pop culture and influenced millions of people. At LA Comic Con, fans left messages for Stan’s 100th anniversary. Inspiration. Legend. Hero. These are some of the words that have come up again and again. #StanLee100.”
