We have a funny Christmas decorating mistake story for you from Kentucky involving a Cousin Eddie dummy and a confused neighbor. The film National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation it’s a favorite of many who watch the movie every holiday season and recite the words along with the outrageous characters. One of those iconic characters is Cousin Eddie, the loony with the tow, radioactive waste dumping, and boss-kidnapper driving Clark Griswold mad.
Holiday decorations involving the film, and this character in particular, have been popping up more and more over the past couple of years, and most people are excited about it. But a Kentucky resident must have been unfamiliar with the film, and they called the police about a backyard display who they mistook for a man exposing himself in a backyard.
Luckily the police recognized the dummy and everyone, including the homeowner and his neighbor (not the caller), had a good laugh at the incident. Check out the news clip below and go watch Christmas holidays. Are you serious, Clark?
