Ecuadorian rock band Delirio has released its self-titled studio album, a ten-track record rooted in alternative rock that draws on blues, pop, punk, psychedelia, rap and funk.
The group said in a statement that the album was designed to generate empathy rather than offer answers, with songs addressing vulnerability, strength, loss, identity and growth.
The band is made up of Lucifer on vocals, Karen Noboa and Santiago Santos on guitar, Miguel Vinueza on bass and Joel Dueñas on drums. Six of the album’s songs had already been released as singles before the full record dropped; the remaining four tracks are previously unreleased.
Delirio will perform on August 15 at Cerveceria Andes in Plaza del Teatro in Quito, followed by a show on August 22 in Ibarra, Imbabura.
