The discovery was reported by German news agency DPA, citing a police spokesperson who stated that forensic experts are currently analyzing the object to determine whether it could have been utilized to carry out an attack on the energy infrastructure.
The police representative also noted that investigators cannot currently rule out the possibility that the suspicious object is merely a dummy or mock-up. Authorities reported that no power outages or operational interruptions have affected the electrical substation following the incident.
