Christos Kougias has issued a public statement demanding that media outlets stop publishing reports, commentary, and social media photos concerning his personal and family life. The statement was released in Athens on August 6, 2026, through the law office of the associates of the late Alexis Kougias.
Kougias stated that recent coverage contained inaccurate information and unsubstantiated speculation regarding his private affairs. He said his personal life cannot be converted into an object of arbitrary articles, rumors, or scenarios presented as facts, nor used for commercial gain by any media organization.
Social Media Photos and Legal Warnings
Addressing images posted on his social media accounts, Kougias noted that the presence of photos on his personal profiles does not grant permission for outlets to reproduce or republish them for stories about his personal life. He called on newspapers, news websites, television shows, radio broadcasts, and all other media platforms to refrain from future coverage or display of his private moments.
Kougias declared in categorical terms that he wants no further media involvement with his personal or family matters. He warned that any future publication or intervention violating his explicit wishes will be met immediately with all legal means available for the protection of his personality and rights.
