Charles Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana, will publish a new book about her life titled Swan Song: Diana, My Sister on September 22.
The release comes shortly before the 30th anniversary of Diana's death, an upcoming milestone that has already generated widespread public interest surrounding the book's contents. Publisher Penguin Random House UK confirmed that Spencer will also personally narrate the audiobook edition.
Spencer explained that a recent surge in media interview requests ahead of the anniversary prompted him to put his own memories in writing once and for all. He stated that he wanted to share his authentic recollections rather than remaining silent while reading published accounts written by others, many of which he said rely on falsehoods that have become accepted as fact over time.
