The mistake of youth led to irreversible consequences.
Evgeny Morgunov is definitely remembered by every viewer who has seen him on the screen at least once. He had experience with Gaidai’s comedies and had incredible charisma, but behind his unusual appearance was a painful story.
During World War II, 14-year-old Morgunov had to take care of his family. He got a job, but heavy workload and constant malnutrition increasingly undermined the health of the future star. Once he became so emaciated that he ate a whole carton of butter without hesitation. Morgunov was immediately hospitalized and pumped out, but the body had already suffered serious damage – the metabolism was disrupted, and because of this, the man began to gain weight quickly.
Nevertheless, despite the health problems affecting the body, it was the unusual appearance that ultimately allowed the actor to achieve great success in the cinema, reports Kinoafisha.
