The wounded master documented everything.
The history of the enmity between Nikolai Tsiskaridze and the Bolshoi Theater goes back more than a year, but something was found that was the last straw for the artist. After such a blow, the dancer went to extreme measures.
The offended ex-soloist more than once denounced the truth about the citadel of the ballet art of Russia, but to the last he drew with candid memoirs. When it became clear that former colleagues were rudely deleting the star’s name from the history of the theater, Tsiskaridze decided it was time to pick up the pen.
“People do everything they can so that your name doesn’t even appear on the site where you were the principal dancer for 21 years. The last straw is the book “Ballets of the Bolshoi Theater”. Everything was there, except the Queen of Spades. This ballet should not be mentioned. Then I decided – no, now I’m going to write (memoirs),’ said the artist in the Once Upon a Time … program on NTV.
