This happened on October 12 and in the statement they affirm that due to the strong waves they could not get out of the sea. “Three of our colleagues, belonging to the cast of extras, decided to take advantage of their day off to visit a beach where, moments later, due to the strong waves that prevailed in the area, it was impossible for them to get out of the sea by their own means”, assured Traziende Films.

In addition, it was confirmed that one of them lost his life in his attempt to get out of the sea, another is disappeared and only one managed to get out safe and sound. “Fortunately, our third partner, due to the request for help and reaction from other members of this production, is safe and sound, although dismayed by the situation,” reads the statement shared by Osvaldo Benavides.

Authorities are still looking

This October 13, it was reported that the deceased actor and the missing person were identified as Marco Antonio Curiel Perez and Luis Manuel Gutierrezrespectively.

On the other hand, the authorities reported that five other extras from the tape were also at the scene, although they did come out unharmed. The Civil Protection Coordination of Oaxaca (CEPCO) indicated that they are still looking for Luis Manuel Gutierrez.
