Kate Middleton’s exclusive ‘gang’: they are the loyal squires of the Princess of Wales

Automatically, on September 8, when Queen Elizabeth II died, the roles within the British royal family changed forever. In this way, the former Prince of Wales became the new King of England, Charles III, along with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. It was the monarch who last February expressed her wish that her son’s wife should bear the said title, and it did. Prince William and Kate Middleton are therefore the new Princes of Wales and future heirs to the Crown, leaving the Dukes of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have lived in the United States for more than two years, on the decision not to to be an active member of The firm.

As part of the British Royal Family, confidentiality and discretion are two of the basic tenets of the routine of those who are part of it. That means they have to choose their friends very carefully. Therefore, Kate Middleton has an exclusive group of friends, who become her faithful squires with whom she spends part of her free time.

One of her good friends is Lady Laura Meade, who met the Princess of Wales through her husband, Prince William and her husband, James. Both have attended each other’s weddings. In fact, the future king of England was an usher at James’ wedding, while James delivered a speech at the royal wedding. That’s not all, because Laura is Prince Louis’ godmother and James is Princess Charlotte’s godfather.

Whoever is part of Middleton’s intimate group is Emilia Jardine Paterson, one of her school friends, they both attended Marlborough College. Together they visited Ibiza on a trip that took place in 2007 when Kate and Guillermo took a break from their relationship. Emilia is the mother of three children and godmother to Prince George, she is married to her husband David and also runs her own interior design company. He is said to have even helped Kate redecorate her mansion from Anmer hall.

Adding to the list is Hannah Carter, another of her friends from school. Hannah and Kate’s friendship has been largely kept out of the public eye, even though she is one of Prince Louis’ godmothers. Both William and Kate attended Hannah’s 2012 wedding to wealthy landowner Robert Carter, and the wedding took place on the royal couple’s first wedding anniversary. Another of Kate’s best friends from her time at Marlborough College is Trini Foyle. They met when they were only 14 years old and both went to Scotland to study, although Trini went to Edinburgh where she studied politics. She previously worked in the office of Conservative MP Jeremy Hunt and is married to her husband Ted Foyle. Trini has a son named Alexander, who is similar in age to Prince George, and the two mothers have been reported to be in the gardens of the Kensington Palace.

The group would not be complete without mentioning her sister, with whom she has an excellent relationship. Pippa, two years younger than her real sister, is married to mutual fund manager James Matthews and they have three children together: Arthur, Grace and Rose. The sisters also have a younger brother, James, who recently married his French wife Alizée Thevenet in a simple ceremony in the south of France. This is what the most select and intimate group of friends of Kate Middleton, the future heir to the throne of England, would look like in its entirety.
