Joey Lawrence and his wife, Samantha Cope, announced on Instagram Wednesday that they are expecting their first child months after getting married in May.
To announce the exciting news of the baby, 46-year-old actor Melissa & Joey shared a photo of her husband in a bikini hugging his bare stomach on the beach.
“The blessings keep coming. I’m proud of you darling!’ She took a candid shot with her pregnant 35-year-old husband. “Baby Lawrence is on the way!”
The Growing Family: Joey Lawrence and his wife, Samantha Cope, announced on Instagram Wednesday that they are expecting their first child together, months after getting married in May.
Although this is her first child, the artist shares two daughters, 16-year-old Charleston and 12-year-old Liberty, whom she shares with Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
Four months ago, the lovebirds took their wedding vows in front of their closest friends and family at the Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California.
At the time, the Blossom graduate, born from his marriage to the actress who has appeared on shows like Insecure, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Private, felt “so right.”

“Life can be tough sometimes, but it’s worth it when God gives you the right person,” she explained.
Days before the wedding, the Salt Lake City-born beauty told People Days that she and Lawrence have complemented each other well from the very beginning.
“It’s been a very safe place to be myself from day one,” Cope said. “He loves everything about me and celebrates all the weirdness about me. I was so lucky to get him. Two weeks later, I thought, ‘I’ll be with you forever.’

Lawrence admitted that the couple quickly fell in love with each other and told the outlet: “Once you meet the right person, if you’re lucky, he’ll follow you pretty quickly.
“There is someone who thinks and has the same love language as me, and we communicate the same way. This is really important. And I am very grateful.
In August 2021, Lawrence announced their engagement: We Weekly told the publication: “This is a lot of great stuff, a lot of great stuff. He is the best person ever.
Lawrence and Cope met while working on the 2020 film Lifetime, My Husband’s Secret Sister.

“We met there all of a sudden, you know, it’s been a crazy year and a half for everybody, frankly the whole world,” he said, referring to the coronavirus pandemic. ‘Then when you least expect it’ [it,] Great things are happening and meeting him is truly the best thing that has ever happened.
“When you least expect it, you know, you meet the perfect person for you, and all these intangibles come into play… and then you meet. [the] Right person.’
Lawrence was previously married to Yawn-Nelson (mother of her first two children) from 2005 until she filed for divorce in 2020, and their separation ended earlier this year; and Michelle Vella from 2002 to 2005.
