The latest Skims campaign was targeted this week after she was accused of heavily photoshopping model Tyra Banks.
However, in a candid interview with ABC News, Kim Kardashian insisted she wanted a “no borders” rule because of her experience of growing inclusivity.
The 41-year-old reality center told host Robin Roberts on Wednesday’s special that she remembers “not really interacting with anyone” during her youth and being labeled “too curvy” when asked about it.
“I never felt inclusivity growing up”: Kim Kardashian insisted she “wanted an unlimited streak” despite the Skims campaign being targeted by Photoshopping allegations.
She said: “We all have very different body types, I never felt inclusivity growing up. When I wanted to borrow clothes, everyone said no because they told me it would never happen, and I was very curvy.
“They were all blonde and tall and skinny and I didn’t really interact with anyone.”
That’s partly what prompted the global superstar to launch his famous styling company, Skims, she explained.

Controversial: Kim’s latest Skims campaign was targeted this week after she was accused of heavily photoshopping model Tyra Banks (LR: Candice Swanepoel, Tyra, Kim, Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrosio)
“I think everyone deserves to feel exactly how they want to feel and to be praised for who they are.
“And if that doesn’t meet someone’s standards or a certain standard of beauty, fuck it. I don’t know how else to say it.
Tyra Model, 48, appeared in a new Skims in Underpants commercial for the campaign alongside Candice Swanepoel, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio and Kim herself.

Honest and Open: The 41-year-old fact reminded host Robin Roberts on Wednesday’s ABC special that during her youth she “never really interacted with anyone” and was stigmatized as “too curvy”.
However, after it was revealed that the photos taken during the shoot looked significantly different from the commercial photo itself, especially the waist circumference, many labeled the montage of Tyra’s body as “extreme and disgusting.”
TV personality Tyra shared a few photos from the photoshoot on social media, asking fans to compare them to real-world images from the campaign.
“These photos are beautiful, but of course Tyra was beautiful and this change is so weird and unnecessary?” Twitter user wrote.

Oh no: Many people believe that photos of Tyra taken during the shoot look significantly different from the actual ad photo (a smaller waist on the left before the alleged edits and on the right in the actual ad)
“Tyra looks like she’s overly Photoshopped on this one – where did her body go?” said another.
On the Instagram account Problematic Fame, which regularly posts Hollywood beauty standards, Skims was also accused of photoshopping and failing to represent “positivity and inclusivity of the body.”
“Shocked to see how much Photoshop has been done to Tyra Banks’ body in New Skims and Kim Kardashian’s new campaign,” wrote Instagram.

Dissatisfied: The same TV personality, Tyra, shared a few photos from the photo shoot on social media and asked fans to compare them with actual images from the campaign
“This is a low rate for a brand that prides itself on body positivity and inclusivity,” the post continues. “In what world does turning Tyra’s body into a clone of Kim provide a kind of body positivity and inclusivity?
“Tyra’s body is perfect, this Photoshop is horrible and totally useless, it’s disappointing.”
Another comment on Kim’s figure: “Your life is like half of Tyra Banks”. Does Tyra Banks have a 50-inch waist or was this photo bought?
Someone else asked: ‘Why do you have Photoshop? Tyra specific??? ‘

Answer: On Problematic Fame, the Instagram account that regularly posts Hollywood beauty standards, Skims has also been accused of photoshopping and not representing “body positivity and inclusivity.”
MailOnline reached out to Skims and Tyra for further comments.
Tyra recently spoke about the new campaign, and the supermodel revealed that she had a discussion with Kim about Skims before signing up.
“Kim reached out to me and we talked candidly about the campaign,” the creator of America’s Next Top Model told Vogue in a recent interview.
‘I’ve respected his business knowledge for a while; After that phone call, my respect grew even more. Kim left words of wisdom that reflect the wise advice her mother has shared with me over the years.
“I haven’t modeled lingerie and lingerie in a long time but after talking to Kim and hearing her thoughtful, loving and instinctive words, I said yes!”
