Paul McCartney, who turned 80 this weekend, put on a spectacular two and a half hour show, which included guest appearances by Dave Grohl and “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen himself.
Piers Morgan came to Sir Paul McCartney’s defense after complaints about the former Beatle’s title in Glastonbury surfaced Saturday night.
The legendary musician, who turned 80 this weekend, played in a two and a half hour show, which included guest appearances by Foo Fighters and Nirvana star Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen himself.
Macca has revised much of his vast catalog, with Wings hits mixed in between some of his new solo songs and some Beatles classics.

But there were some people, especially on Twitter, upset that he didn’t make more Beatles songs during his set.

This caught the attention of Piers, who responded to criticism in his usual style, writing, “Twitter whiner Macca didn’t make enough Beatles hits.” She performed Can’t Buy Me Love, Love Me Do, I Saw Her Standing There, Lady Madonna, Blackbird, Get Back, Something, Let It Be and Hey Jude.
“These songs alone are 9 of the best pop songs of all time.
“Twitter … STFU.” #

Piers nemesis Dan Walker also praised Sir Paul’s set, with effusion on Twitter: “The fact that Sir Paul McCartney does it at 80 is majestic and has earned the right to do it as he pleases but, if not you do HEY JUDE then it’s a huge missed opportunity # Glastonbury2022.
Even though Sir Paul didn’t bring Ringo Starr, we had a Beatles reunion at one point, more or less.
During Paul’s performance of I’ve Got A Feeling, he reunited for a virtual performance with John Lennon, 42 years after he was brutally murdered in New York.

The Liverpudlian told the crowd: “I have a little special thing here, one day Peter Jackson calls me and says he can take John’s voice and isolate it so they can play live with it. John on tour said, you Boys?” ? “
After the emotional performance, he added: “It’s very special to me, I know it’s virtual, but come on, it’s John, we’re back together.”
