Truelove is Dame Julie’s first major television project in six years and since revealing her battle with colon cancer in 2018.

“I actually retired from acting… but then I read Truelove,” she said.

“I was struck by the writing: the dark humor, the love story, and the suspense against what happens to all of us as we approach our final years.”
