In the second season, the “Wenes” of secrets associated with Willow Hill’s psychiatric hospital finally come to the surface.
Together with Uncle Fester, Wansee discovers a secret room under the building, where experiments were once conducted on outcasts. Among the victims they meet a mysterious woman, in the photo designated as a patient 1938. In the beginning it seems that she is connected to the missing aunt Wenzen, Ophelia, but in the second part of the season the audience receives a much shocking denouement.
Patient 1938 is Francoise (Francis O’Connor), the mother of Tyler, who was considered the deceased. This character becomes the key to many plot nodes of the season. Just like her son, Francoise-Hyde, and her relationship with Mortisha (Katherine Zeta-Jones) are much closer than expected.
Why is Francoise so important for the plot?
The appearance of Francoisa is changing everything for Tyler (Hunter Dujen). Her ‘death’ once changed his life completely: his father was in his own way and Tyler himself lost his maternal love and support.
It was this weakness that Miss Thornhill (Christina Ricci) made use of this weakness in the first season and became Tyler in Hyde.
Now that the mother returns, Tyler is coming against the real chance of becoming different for the first time – not only a victim of circumstances, but also an independent person. But Francoise, moving painful mother care, with all his power prevents him from getting freedom, literally taken him from his choice.

The situation is also complicated by the return of the brother of Francoise – Isaeca Knight (Owen Peinter), the once deceased genius that will stop at something to ‘cure’ his sister of the nature of Hyde.
Francoise’s tragedy
Because it is Hyd, Francoise has encountered rejection and violence since childhood – Isaac remembers their cruel father. Francoise tries to find a ‘normal’ life and marries the Sheriff Donovan (Jamie Mchan) and has been finding really peace for some time. Everything changes after the birth of Tyler: Postpartum Depression causes its transformations in Hoog-Had, and Francoise becomes an object of inhumane experiments in Willow Hill.
For years isolated and attempts to make the Francoise Francoise fragile and vulnerable.
Isaac desperately wants to save his sister and remember that same night of his death: because of Francoise, he tried to sacrifice young Gomez, who became a fatal mistake and led to his death.
Returning, Isaac is even more obsessed with the idea of ”healing”.
Francoise, however, secretly dreams that Tyler rejects his essence -hyde and is on his forced treatment. It all ends with a collision on the roof of the Nevermor: mother and son, both brought to the limit, fighting in their monstrous form. The denouement is tragic – Francoise decides to interrupt the vicious circle and falls off the roof, so that Tyler stays completely alone, but perhaps – perhaps – for the first time with a chance to find his own path.
