Waiting for a third of the popular detective franchise “Get Knives” goes to the finish line.

Director and screenwriter Ryan Johnson shared the most important details of the plot of the future film “Wake Up, Dead Man” (original name – Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, who will premiere in December.

As before, Daniel Craig will again play the leading role of the brilliant detective of Benoit Benca. Johnson has already said that in every film the form cooperates with a new character, and this time the detective will be the hero of Josh O’Connor, a priest called Father Jad.

“He becomes a partner of the form in the investigation into this mystery; in fact this is largely the story of Jad himself,” Johnson said in an interview with Empire Magazine.

This time the personal line of Benoit Blanca itself will come forward.

“The form in this film has the greatest personal story in the entire trilogy. He has to deal with a mystery in a new way. He is in a completely different place compared to previous films. Daniel and I were happy to think about what kind of life the form is now and I can say that he has really difficult,” the director admits.

According to Johnson, the form, who remains a rationalist, in the first instance regards the matter as a normal murder, which he will certainly be able to reveal. However, the mystery itself is presented as an impossible crime, almost a miracle, and this is in contradiction with the logic of the hero.

“The form comes with the thought:“ This is just a murder, I will reveal it. “But the method that is killed is precisely the opposite of this. Everything looks impossible, almost supernatural. And the task of the form is to prove that there is no wonder,” notes Johnson.

The hints of the plot are intriguing and the cast is impressive: besides Daniel Craig and Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Bronis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, play Andrew Scott in “Wake Up, The Dead Man.

The premiere “Wake Up, the dead man takes place on Netflix on December 12, 2025.
