Are producers with bottomless bags the fault?
The director of the Oscar -winning “Land of Nomads” Chloe Zhao openly spoke about the reasons for the failure of the “Eternal” -the most controversial and non -successful Marvel film in recent years. According to her, huge budgets and the lack of limitations played an angry joke with an ambitious project.
“The ‘eternal’ money and opportunities had more than enough. And we have a single intersections that Stratford should portray … If you have no restrictions, such as the ‘eternal’, it is even dangerous. And if you only have one cross in your Hamette, it has suddenly turned out to be that every small thing becomes important,” Zhao explained, “explained.”
The “Eternal” was originally planned to be released immediately after the epic final of the “Avengers”, but because of the pandemic and other delays in the prime minister, it dragged through until 2021. The film was released at a failed time when the whole world was in a state of existential crisis – and, according to Zhao, this: this: this: this: this only: this: this: this: this only:: this: this only: this: this: this: this only: this: this: this only:: this: this only:: this: this only:: this: this only:: this: this only:: this: this only:: this:
“The film itself is about the existential crisis, and I think we understood in advance that the reaction would be ambiguous.”

As a result, the “eternal” fans of the former Marvel films, or the fans of Zhao, could not be used to the deeper and more intelligent stories. Critics appreciated the tape extremely low – only 47% on rotten tomatoes, and from the further plans to interwoven the team of the “eternal” had completely disappeared.
- Budget: 200 million dollars
- Cost: 402 million dollars
- Assessment in Kinopoisk: 6.3
Zhao itself, however, refers to failure philosophical:
“We really went what the world has placed in, and this caused a lot of discomfort for many. But there are people who have accepted our experiment. I fully understand such a reaction – it only confirms how much we have combined with each other and how much the usual rut has made.”
