Three years without work: “Mandalorets” destroyed his career Katie Sakhoff

Katie Sakhoff, for millions of spectators, admitted the Galaxy Star Cruiser, unexpectedly, to be honest: the role of Bo-Catan in the Mandalor brought her not a glory, but a serious crisis. According to the actress, participation in the project deprived her of self -confidence and it was actually beaten out of the profession for three years.

Sakhoff knew the character perfectly: since 2012 she expressed Bo-Catan in the animated “Star Wars”. But when the time came to reincarnate the Warrior Live, everything went wrong.

“After the” mandalor “I completely lost confidence in my strength,” the actress admitted. She said she always played, trusted the first instinct and tried to stay faithful to her characters, their characters. But this didn’t work with Bo-Catan.

“I didn’t understand her until the end, I didn’t feel in myself. And from this I started to doubt every step. As a result, I just stopped believing that I could play.”

A three -year break

A shaken self -confidence turned into a real catastrophe for the acting profession of Sakhoff. After filming in Mandalorz, the castings ended one by one. Sakhoff admits: she was never strong in the ‘Video’ examples, but at that moment everything became very bad – her new roles bypassed her side. “I practically did not work for three years,” she says.

The only exception was the return to the usual format – voice acting. In 2024 the actress again presented the voice of Bo-Catan in the animated project “Tales of the Empire”.

Today Katie leads his own podcast “The Sackhoff Show”, but in the cinema and on television her name does not flash as often as before. Lucasfilm has not yet confirmed the participation of the actress in the fourth season of the Mandalorian or in the full film “Mandalorets and the Skoga”.

For Sakhoff himself this is still an open question: whether it returns to the image of a BO-Catan or will leave a role forever that has become a difficult test for it.
