How did “I am a zombie”? Explain the plot of the end of the series with spoilers

He came under the speaking name “Everything that ends well” (“All good that ends well”), but not all fans agree that “everything is good”.

The denouement was built by the usual technology – a big temporary leap. The authors first showed the denouement of the conflict between people and zombies, and then, ten years later, arranged a virtual meeting of the surviving heroes to summarize. On paper – such a classic epilogue. In fact, many spectators have the feeling that they have been taken away from a real final.

How the plot “I am zombies” ended

• The episode was released on August 1, 2019 at the CW channel.
• Liv, Ravi and Clive return to Seattle. Clive succeeds in the birth of his daughter.
• Peyton helps children from Blaine escape, but gets a wound. Blaine turns her into a zombie to save.
• Then Peyton learns that Blaine killed the bride of his henchman Don I.. In response, Don I. Blain throws in a well – but then Liv appears and pushes Don I. himself there.
• Ravi starts the production of a medicine for a zombie virus.
• Major and Ravi arrange a show on television, where they demonstrate the “medicine”. Major reportedly makes himself an injection on the camera, and the leader of the Enzo zombie fraction shoots him. It turns out that there was an energy in the syringe and an Enzo is introduced by the real medicine – he is immediately killed by a soldier.
• An explosion takes place in the mortuary: a terrorist undermines himself, Michelle dies.
• Ten years later, Clive, Peyton and Ravi appear in a virtual podcast. Klive and his wife are raised by the son of the Dead Michelle, Peyton became a public prosecutor, Ravi leads the CDC.
• It is publicly believed that Liv died in a terrorist attack, but in reality she and the major, still live zombies and live with children on the island of Zombie.

The maker of the show Rob Thomas explained this:

“I always knew that I didn’t do a noir – let’s give them a happy final! I had this plan from the start.”

He also admitted that he came up with all the size of the “virtual podcast” while writing the last episode:

“The idea of an epilogue with a virtual cast came to me just a week before the start of work. Although the general milestones were devised for a long time.”

It is symbolic that Rob Thomas was busy restarting Veronica Mars for most of the last season, and I only returned to the “Zombies” to the last series. And the fans felt it. One of them described the impression of the final:

“It was the worst television experience in my life. Everything crumbled before my eyes. My favorite characters became strangers. When the credits went, I seriously wondered why I generally viewed this in general.”

Liv and the major live on the island of Zombies in the final and call friends to participate. The author admits that he has a personal answer – or the heroes have been agreed – but he deliberately does not reveal him:

“I like that spectators can decide for themselves whether friends went to the island or kept leading their own lives.”

At the same time, Thomas admits honestly: there was not enough room for the full completion of the stories of secondary characters. In particular, in the final, they should have shown the reconciliation of Liv with her family in the final, but the scenes just don’t fit:

“They are written and even removed in some places, but I had to cut them out. I regret it.”

The very last point in the fate of the characters, according to him, did not intentionally say:

“I knew this was the end of the story, but one day there would be a chance to return to this universe. I would like to collect the actors again all are fantastic.”

However, fans do not resist with a happy ending. Many compare it to the end of Veronica Mars, that Thomas closed a lot of rigid. Here he decided to be more friendly – and it turned out to be too much and “at the top”.
