
Marvel continues to escalate the intrigues around the future of his key characters.
During recent communication with the press, the head of Marvel Studios Kevin Faygi commented on the fate of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the MCU universe. Both actors, recall, officially debuted in the MCU in the film “Deadpool and Wolverine”, released in 2024. Given the billions of cash costs for this debut, it is not surprising that Marvel has big plans at the Tandem of Wolverine and Deadpool.
Fagi confirmed that the issue of returning these two heroes is actively discussed:
“Of course there were discussions. We have constant contact with Ryan. So the answer is yes.”
When the journalists asked for the plans for Hugh Jackman, Faygi left the details, but quoted one of the replicas from Deadpool and Wolverine: “He will play this up to 90 years old, dude.”
However, Marvel Studios has not yet specified in what kind of projects Jackman and Reynolds can appear. According to rumors, Reynolds is now working on the script with regard to the X -Men team, but it is still unclear to wait for Wolverine and Deadpool in a large crossover: Secret Wars.

Remember that Hugh Jackman first appeared as Wolverine in the film “X -Men” 2000 of 20th Century Fox. Since then he repeatedly returned to this image and collected praise reviews from critics and spectators.
Ryan Reynolds even played Wade Wilson for the first time in “X-Men: Begin. Wolverine, but that film was met Cool, especially because they treated Deadpool. Reynolds left no attempts to rehabilitate the character and reached his:
- 2016 – “Deadpool”
- 2018 – “Deadpool 2”
- 2024 – “Deadpool and Wolverine”
It still remains unknown whether we will see these two in the future team films Marvel. Fans especially wait for their appearance in crossovers:
- “Avengers: Judgement Day” – Première on December 18, 2026
- “Avengers: Secret Wars” – Première on December 17, 2027
So far, Marvel keeps everything secret, but according to Faygi’s reaction it is clear that the conversations are going on, which means that the repeated appearance of Jackman and Reynolds in the MCU is not far away.
