Many fans of Harry Potter are still stunned: where did the fight Lucius Malfidus and Arthur Weasley go from the second book?

In the original novel, Joan Rowling turned out to be clear to the scene – two adult wizards arrange a fight directly in the Florish and Blotts store, while the magical magic notes hardly participate: an old friendly fight against fists. But in the film – nothing. And it turned out that the scene was not even cut out, but just didn’t shot.

At Fanexpo in Denver, Jason Isaac (the same Malfidus Sr., why the scene remained on the pages of the book. According to him, the decision was made by the director Chris Columbus – and everything was agreed with him in advance.

“They are fighting in the book. Arthur Weasley beats Lucius from his feet. But we did not shot. I spoke with a colossus and explained: if malfidus is humiliated at the start of the film, where does the stress come from? The viewer will have no fear, there will be no expectation of recovery,” I said.

According to the actor, you always have to leave the room in the cinema to “satisfy the final” – and it was precisely that moment that the scene was with a Dobby, where the eleven Free Harry, and at the same time revenge on Lucius. If a fight from a Weasley were to take place in the beginning, the scene with Dobby would have lost the power of the effect.

Isaex also noted that not all scenes from books work well on the screen. In the gifts of death, for example, the makers have reduced dozens of pages over a Boin and all his owners – and brought everything to a spectacular duel. And let the fans still love the scene with a fight in the book version, the actor believes: sometimes it is better to control himself-especially when it comes to a villain that still has to be.
