Christopher Nolan again plays in a great way. Universal officially confirmed that Odyssey – his new film adjustment based on the Homeric Epic – costs a $ 250 million studio. This is not only the largest project of the director, but also the most expensive production in his entire career.
The video for the film is already shown before the sessions of the “Jurassic World: Rebirth”, but you can only see it in Cinemas-Nolan, as in the case of “Oppenheimer”, it says that the trailer must be part of the audience, not YouTube advertisements. Unfortunately, nobody has canceled the smartphones – and the “merged” version of the teaser almost immediately appeared on the network.
Odyssey is a large -scale action film with elements of the myth, fully recorded on IMAX cameras. The most important role will be played by Matt Damon and the company will be composed by Tom Holland, John Bernal, Anne Hathaway, Zendei, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Litital Niono and Mia Goth. Filming is from February in Greece, Italy and Morocco, and the premiere is planned for July 2026.
The project looks like everyone at the same time: an old classic, a blockbuster form and a prestigious cast. But the most important question is not in the landscape, but in bets. After the “Oppenheimer”, who collected nearly a billion and received Oscar, the studio is ready to give Nolan all budgets. Now the director will try to change the ancient Greek poem in the spectacle of the level of “beginning” and “Dunkerka”.
