Netflix again tried to play the classics of the genre – released his own medical drama called Pulse, clearly inspired by the success of the “Anatomy of Passion”. It turned out not bad.

As known, the series was officially closed after one season and apparently the decision was made a month ago – actors and film team were already allowed to look for new projects.

From the beginning the “wrist” was difficult: critics (48% on rotten tomatoes), the audience was slow and against the background of competitors – such as the “The Pitt Hospital” with Noah Wiley – the project was just lost. At the same time, the show was held in the top 10 Netflix for some time, but it never became a stable hit. The result is logical: “The challenge has been canceled.”

The plot “Pulse” was built around a fictional hospital in Miami and the struggle for the function of the most important resident of the Emergency Department. The frame is a hurricane, a huge reception of patients, an official novel, a violation of subordination, an accusation of intimidation and an internal power struggle. All this was accompanied by extremely dramatic dialogues and attempts to show people for medical robes.

With the leading role: they played the leading role:

  • Willa Fitzgerald – Dr. Danny Simms
  • Colin Wodell – Dr. Zander Phillips
  • Jesse T. Asher – Dr. Sam Elia
  • Justin Machado, Jack Bennon, Daniela Nieva, Nestor Carbonell and others

The makers of course had ideas for the second season: more intrigues, more power struggle, more personal conflicts. But Netflix apparently decided enough. Together with the “Pulse”, the comic detective “The Residence” was also canceled and the antology series “No Good” was sent to freeze.
