“Abbey” has been sent several times to rest – will it be complete this time?
Focus functions introduced the first official trailer for the last film of the Downton Abbey. The photo received the subtitle of the Grand Final and will be released on 12 September 2025 in International Rental.
The plot of the new part tolerates the action in the 1930s. Mary is in the center of the public scandal and the Crowley family strives for financial problems. Against the background of a possible social collapse, the heroes try to reconsider their place in a rapidly changing world. The emphasis is on a change of generations – it is the new composition to lead the Downton estimate to the future.
Almost all leading actors of the previous parts are returned to the film: Michelle Dockury, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Karmaykl, Jim Carter, as well as Joan Froggatt, Brendan Coyle, Robert James-Road, Phillis Logan and Penelope Wilton. Among the new faces are Joeli Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Bil and Art Frrhanhan.
The director of the final is again Simon Curtis, who recorded the previous film “New Age”. The script wrote, as before, Julian Fellee – the author of the original series and all films.
The trailer focuses on the fact that this is a farewell to the franchise. Based on the first frames, the makers trust nostalgia, the entertainment and the atmosphere of the last act.
“Downton Abbey: The Final” will only be in cinemas. The digital release has not yet been announced.
