Dakota Johnson was called to Star Wars

Dakota Johnson can participate in the most famous cinema in history. According to various sources from the industry, the actress is taken into account for a key role in one of the future Lucasfilm projects in the Star Wars universe.

There is no official confirmation from the studio yet. Neither the name of the project nor the character that Johnson can play. But according to the Insider Daniel Richterman, Lucasfilm has already started internal discussion and is seriously interested in the participation of the actress.

Now Johnson belongs thanks to the movie “Materist”, where she played with Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. The new A24 project received positive reviews for a non -standard approach to the genre of a romantic comedy, and apparently it was this work that attracted the attention of the producers of the Star Wars.

The only question is whether Johnson agrees to be part of a large franchise. The actress recently criticized the Hollywood system. In an interview with the Hote show, she spoke sharply about how decisions in the film industry are made today:

“If the committee or people who do not really watch films, make creative decisions, will not work. Everything comes down to endless changes and the cloning of successful formulas. And the viewer needs new, lively, unexpectedly.”

Johnson himself has long been alternating studio films with the copyright cinema. A recent attempt to return to the superhero mainstream with the film “Madame Pautin” ended in failure – and Johnson did not hide it:

“This is not my fault,” she said in an interview. “There were problems with solutions at the stage of filming, with production, with everything.”
