If you are tired of the endless circus or the drama in hospitals.
Don’t think about it – we have nothing against the tongue-in-cheek humor of ‘The Interns’ or the dramatic twists in ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ it’s just that sometimes fans of medical TV shows want to see something new.
We’ve rounded up the 10 best TV shows about doctors that go beyond the silly routines and office romances (as long as Meredith Grey had time for it, right?). Our list includes moral dilemmas, complex medical cases, incredible human stories, and even a bit of surrealism and dark humor. In short, there’s something for everyone.

One of the most interesting series in our selection is the project “Notes of a Young Doctor” with Daniel Radcliffe. It came out at a time when Radcliffe was actively trying to diversify his acting portfolio in order not to be exclusively associated with The Boy Who Lived – and he did it excellently.
A great fan of the work of Mikhail Bulgakov, Radcliffe perfectly embodied on screen the role of Bomgard Vladimir, a young doctor who comes to practice in a Russian village and is forced to endure superstitious and suspicious patients.
And although Russia is shown in the series rather stereotypically (however, no more stereotypically than England in, for example, the Soviet Sherlock Holmes), viewers appreciated how well the British managed to film Bulgakov – after all, the gloomy atmosphere and the ruthless identification of superstition and lack of education of patients were present and in the book.
