Okay, at least Leo DiCaprio is off this list.
Film fans around the world often accuse the Academy of Film Arts of bias and injustice: either because their favorite film didn’t win, because of #OscarsSoWhite, or because they completely ignore legendary actors. It’s the third case that we’ll talk about in more detail today.
We don’t understand how these 10 actors not only have a statuette, but even an Oscar nomination! If this isn’t a conspiracy against cinephiles everywhere, what is?

Every year, the Oscar nomination lists generate heated debate online, and that’s almost always the case. If someone isn’t nominated at all, that’s a scandal. If someone is nominated, but in the wrong category? Scandal. And of course, any winner in the major categories always has to deal with the criticism of their competitors’ outraged fans.
This was the case with ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Forrest Gump’ – it was a real battle of the titans at the Oscars, and in the end Tom Hanks was even forced to defend his film. Moreover, the debate about whether ‘Forrest Gump’ deserved its ‘Oscar’ for Best Picture (especially the valuable loss to ‘Pulp Fiction’) continues to this day.
Or it happens that actors receive a long-deserved ‘Oscar’ as if ‘retroactively’ and too late – this is, for example, what happened with Leonardo DiCaprio and ‘The Revenant’ and with Al Pacino and ‘Scent of a Woman’. Although “The Revenant” raised few questions, many are skeptical about Al Pacino’s role in “The Smell” – this is certainly not his best work, especially compared to “The Godfather”.
