Great news for all fans of anime and Asian cinema. If you don’t know what to watch this summer, Netflix will soon surprise you with a hot new product. A new miniseries, Tokyo Scammers, will be released at the end of July. This is expected to be one of the coolest premieres. We tell you what the story is about.

Plot and actors

Real estate prices in Tokyo are rising rapidly. The main character, Takumi Tsujimoto, meets Harrison Yamanaka, the leader of a fraudulent gang that commits various real estate frauds. Together with informant Takeshita, con-recruiter Reiko and legal advisor Go, Takumi decides to pull off a big scam.

Their goal is a deal worth 10 billion yen. While the con artists cunningly carry out various frauds, the police are hot on their heels. Parallel to this intense storyline, the viewer learns about Takumi’s past and increasingly understands how immoral Harrison is. Whether the main characters will be able to carry out their plans or whether they will still be arrested by the police, the viewer will have to find out.

How many episodes and when can we expect the premiere?

The premiere on Netflix will take place very soon: July 25th of this year. The film was directed by Hitoshi One, and in the leading roles viewers will see actors such as Go Ayano, Etsushi Toyokawa, Jolyne Kim (Grey’s Anatomy), Kazuki Kitamura (Kill Bill) and many others.
