Remove the shawarma: prepare raw dumplings as in Major Thunder (and 3 unusual dressings instead of sour cream)

Still from the movie “Major Grom: Plague Doctor”

Prokopenko ate half a kilo of this delicacy at a time.

The main delicacy of Major Igor Grom in “The Plague Doctor” was shawarma, and in “The Game” he more than once remembered the popular fast food, but shortly before his death Colonel General Prokopenko, played by Alexei Maklakov, managed to ‘get” his colleague addicted to dumplings. Raw. Straight from the package.

We do not recommend that you buy your favorite semi-finished product and crack it straight from the package, but preparing such a delicacy at home is easier than steamed turnips. The main features of these particular “snacks” are a savory dough and a fried filling instead of raw.

Lyrical digression! If you are going to cook “Gromovsky” dumplings, then here are three unusual dressings that will replace the usual sour cream. Leave the filling raw of course.

Ingredients for the dough:

– 2 cups premium flour

– 1/2 cup boiled, chilled water

– 1 egg (fresh)

– A pinch of salt

– 1 teaspoon. Bell pepper

– 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Cooking process

Dough:

– Mix flour, salt, paprika, black pepper, dried garlic, dried onion and hot red pepper in a bowl.

– Add the egg and water and gradually mix with flour and spices.

– Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.

– Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

Filling:

– Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

– Add the finely chopped onion and garlic and fry until golden brown.

– Add ground beef and pork, cook, stirring constantly, until done (7-10 minutes).

– Season with salt and pepper.

– Remove the pan from the heat and let the filling cool completely.

Forming dumplings:

– Roll out the savory dough into thin strips and cut out small circles with a glass or round cutter.

– Place a teaspoon of prepared filling on each circle.

– Fold the circle in half and pinch the edges together to form a dumpling.

Important!

– Immediately after shaping, place the dumplings in the freezer on a floured tray to prevent them from sticking together.

– Freeze dumplings quickly to preserve the freshness of the ingredients and minimize the risk of bacterial growth.

Have fun!
